I thought this site would be something fun and different to do, but it has turned into too much work.  Especially with the way my career has been, since I started this blog.  Over the next few weeks, I’m gonna transfer a lot of the entries from this blog, onto my primary blog, Defying Despondency.   I’m not closing this blog down, just putting on hiatus.

Every time something really big happens in my life; it’s bittersweet.  Because I’d love to have my parents around to share in my joy.  This song is dedicated to them.  In all honesty, the lyrics don’t fit 100%.  But the overall message is right on target.  They were my heroes.

The boyfriend emailed this, to me, today.  He’s a big fan of the likes of The Carpenters, and any other bubble gum group from the 70’s.

2 days till baseball begins.

I can tell that I haven’t gotten to a good place, yet.  I mean, at times, I feel like things are ‘looking up.’  Then a crisis spirals me back into the despondency pit.  The situation is real and tangible.  But, why can’t I learn to take it in stride, without slipping into the doldrums?  Is it a consequence of too much turmoil over too many years, or is it my attitude?  Honestly, my only ‘friend’ has been music.  It never lets me down and always lifts my spirits.  That’s why I created this blog, as an extension to my primary blog.  So, what song has gotten me through this day?  Click and listen:

August 9-10, 2008 is the Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka, Japan.  D. and I are going, in celebration of our anniversary!  Woo hooo!
